INTRODUCING
'DIOPLEX' The plastics and rubber compounding sectors welcome 'DIOPLEX' polymeric
plasticisers from Hyperlast Limited, a British Vita Group company based
in Birch Vale, UK. The introduction of the polymeric plasticiser range under the new name of 'DIOPLEX' from the first of January 2004 sees the old names disappear with immediate effect. Drum labelling and safety documentation still refer to the previous marks to foster a seamless transition between the old and the new. Gwyn Pickering, Business Development Manager, Plasticisers, comments: "Having incorporated the Akcros Chemicals' and Great Lakes' range of products into the Hyperlast 'Diolpate' range, we saw the value of re-branding under the 'DIOPLEX' name as being central to our marketing policy. To emphasise our ambitions in the European market we felt the new image in 2004 would stand us in good stead". Hyperlast customers are seeking increasingly to differentiate their products and escape the negative perceptions that their own customers and the public may have towards monomerics. This is clearly shown where there is a need to meet tougher new legislation, whether in the PVC, Coatings, Rubber or Adhesives industries, and we are led down the EU path of 'positive lists' such as end-use products requiring Food Contact Approval. Not by chance, Hyperlast is uniquely able to cover customer needs with the widest range of products on the market.' 'We are bullish about the market for 'DIOPLEX' and expect great things this year', says Gwyn Pickering; Hyperlast has recently invested in state-of-the-art reactor technology, expanding their production facilities at their UK site near Manchester, England in anticipation of demand. Hyperlast is a leading designer and manufacturer of polyurethane formulations
that meet even the most stringent performance specifications demanded
by a product. The company has long experience and global recognition
in its field. Whatever the need, Hyperlast applies the polymer chemistry
and engineering capability that translates a design performance ideal
into a workable reality. Ref: 22-1602 February 2004 |
